- General urogynaecology clinics – for new referrals and follow-up assessments
- Specialist tertiary clinics – for complex pelvic floor
- Specialist nurse-led clinics – for pessary management and conservative treatment
- Multidisciplinary pelvic floor clinics – involving gynaecology, urology, and colorectal teams where needed
- Urodynamics testing and video urodynamic testing – diagnostic evaluation of bladder function
- Pelvic floor physiotherapy – tailored therapy plans to strengthen pelvic support
Referrals
Patients can be referred to the urogynaecology service via their GP or other healthcare professionals through the NHS e-Referral service. We accept referrals from across the North East and beyond.
Research and training
We are actively involved in clinical research to improve the understanding and treatment of pelvic floor conditions.
As a teaching hospital, we also provide training to medical students, junior doctors, and specialist trainees in urogynaecology.
