Newcastle Hospitals is one of ten national ‘InSite’ test bed sites for the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, which helps to develop and evaluate new solutions to benefit staff and patients.
The initiative helps colleagues by providing the skills and experience to scale their most innovative ideas for the benefit of patients, staff and the wider NHS.
We have a number of home-grown entrepreneurs who have accessed the programme’s expertise and guidance with support from our innovation team to develop and scale their ideas.
Our clinical entrepreneurs in Newcastle Hospitals are working to transform services and develop innovations to:
- support young patients with sensory needs
- help children and young people undergoing treatment for cancer and
- provide online exercise programmes and advice adults with pelvic health problems.
If you have a vision for improving patient care, or a solution to a healthcare challenge, the free one-year entrepreneurial workforce development programme is open to both clinical and non-clinical NHS staff.
Our business innovation manager Charlotte Fox and innovation project manager Michelle Waugh are on hand to offer tailored guidance to colleagues and partners. Please drop them a line [email protected]
