Our people plan, launched in June 2024, outlines priorities and actions to create an improved work environment across all of our teams and sites.
The plan is guiding our journey to make Newcastle Hospitals a place where everyone feels welcome, supported and valued, whatever their role. Content was shaped and developed by a variety of staff voices and perspectives, including our staff networks and staff side representatives who worked hard to ensure representation for an inclusive and diverse range of views.
The actions and objectives in the plan provide a roadmap for the changes we need to implement over the next three years, 2024-2027.
Delivery of the plan will be through developing and improving the services and processes we have in place to support staff, through our people/HR department, and through implementing change via leadership in clinical boards and corporate services.
How staff feedback shaped the plan
The voices and insights of people who work here are at the core of our people plan.
Over 8000 staff shared their experiences, stories and views over a number of months, through a routes such as roadshows, focus groups, staff networks, our freedom to speak up guardian, the NHS staff survey and our own internal staff survey.
