Ward 37 is an adult critical care unit specialising in care for patients after complex surgery and with complex medical problems. Our unit is an integrated critical care unit which means we care for both high dependency and intensive care patients in the same place, and can change the care provided at any time to ensure patients receive the right support when they need it.

Ward 21 is an adult cardiothoracic critical care unit which specialises in the care of patients following complex heart and lung surgeries, including: coronary bypass grafts, valve replacements and heart and lung transplantation.
Patients may be transferred here from all over the UK and Northern Ireland because of our considerable experience in complex cardiothoracic procedures.
