Rob became managing director – and deputy chief executive – at Newcastle Hospitals in February 2024, with responsibility for day-to-day management of our hospitals and services, on behalf of the chief executive and working through clinical board leadership teams.
Rob was previously managing director at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having joined in 2020 from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, where he served as chief operating officer for ten years.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in health service management and a bachelor’s degree in applied biochemistry, and worked in pharmaceutical research prior to joining the NHS graduate management training scheme.
