Dr Anna Brough is a general paediatric consultant at the Great North Children’s Hospital where her special interests are in high dependency care and emergency management.
She is the lead consultant for the paediatric emergency assessment unit and also works for the North East Children’s Transport and Retrieval (NECTAR) team.
Dr Brough joined the team in 2016 after training at Newcastle University and completed paediatric training in the North East with a placement at the CATS team in London doing paediatric transport medicine.
As well as having an interest in paediatric transport medicine, she is alongside quality improvement and simulation in health care.
She has previously been the lead for paediatric simulation within the Great North Children’s Hospital and was involved in establishing the use of simulation in regular team training.
