Dr Hilary Tedd is a Consultant Respiratory Physician working both within the North East Assisted Ventilation Service (NEAVS) and respiratory medicine team in Newcastle.
Dr Tedd was appointed as a consultant in 2018, having trained in respiratory medicine in the North East. She has a specialist interest in transition of patients from paediatrics into adult services and in neurodisability and its impact on respiratory function.
She also works within the regional occupational lung diseases service, along with delivering general respiratory clinics and general respiratory inpatient care.
Alongside her clinical work, she also enjoys her role as Return to Training lead for the School of Medicine within Health Education England (North East) and is actively engaged in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and training.
Outside of work, she has a young family and also enjoys running and the occasional triathlon.
